IT consulting and technology company ILUX made everyone “smile” at the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards after winning the Wellbeing Award for the Eastern region.
The company was praised for many initiatives including their “smile” tokens for employees to spend on something that makes them smile, implementing an employee assistance programme giving free support and independent counselling and arranging for staff with families overseas to work abroad throughout lockdown.
James Tilbury, CEO said:” As a service-based business, our people are everything to us. I have built our business on mutual respect and consideration. Well-being is at the heart of everything we do. The past couple of years have been challenging and we have done everything we can to support our employees and our clients. It is wonderful to be recognised in this way.
As part of their “people-first” strategy, they also support the local community. ILUX sponsored the “Making St Ives Sparkle” campaign securing a spectacular light display in the run-up to Christmas and are keen supporters of the Cambridgeshire Police Football team.
Lauren Dovey, Development Manager from FSB said: “Small businesses have shown an amazing resilience over the past two years and employee wellbeing is pivotal to that success. The FSB awards are one way of demonstrating our thanks for the way they keep the economy moving and thriving in these challenging times. ILUX clearly demonstrated their commitment to their team and found new ways of working that kept everyone connected and supported.”
