Overview
We have a requirement for a Technical Account Manager to join our Sales and Account Management Team to be based at our St. Ives office Mon-Fri 0800 – 1700, although you will be expected to travel to customer sites and other locations as the business requires. This is a permanent position.

The role is pivotal to the growth of the business ensuring that our marketing activity is leveraged, and we are actively acquiring new clients as well as managing and selling into existing clients. The key to this position is communication, drive and a desire to succeed. You will want to build your client portfolio, with the support of our marketing activity, and manage your suite of clients to make them flourish, such that you meet your targets.
 

Key Tasks

  • Sell our range of IT support services into both new and existing clients
  • Manage your client accounts, ensuring their needs are met, they feel like they are getting the attention they want and that you are selling all available products and services into them
  • Identify and contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings and conversations (in person or online)
  • Follow up leads passed to you by our telesales and lead generation teams
  • Play an active role in promoting yourself and the business on relevant professional social media channels
  • Attend relevant networking events
  • Work with our Commercial Director to feedback to the marketing team potential content and audiences
  • Populate the company CRM system with all activity
  • Provide forecast data to the Financial Director
  • Attend, present and/or host conferences, meetings and industry events


Skills and Key Attributes

  • You will be an experienced technical sales professional capable of acquiring, managing and developing client relationships
  • Basic knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Well-organised and structured
  • Advanced technical ability (enough to discuss technical matters and concepts to clients)
  • Be aware of available systems and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
